Sneak Peek! Girl Scouts "Trunk or Treat"

The Girl Scouts in Hammond had a "Trunk or Treat" event in Hammond today and the weather did not stop those kids from getting their candy!  It was so cute to see all the costumes and I can't wait to show you  more!

Holiday Special!

Josh & Holly {Engagement}

Oh, thinking back on Josh and Holly's engagement session, I have to laugh a little thinking of how nervous they were!  It was very cute and I think really added to the easy going nature that the two of them share.  They were open for any ideas that I had and for any directions that I gave and were so lovey and cuddley with each other.  I think these two will have a very long happy life together!  I'm so excited for their wedding in August 2012!

Hailey {8.5 months}

What a little cutie Miss Hailey is, wouldn't you agree?  She was such a joy to photograph and such a ham for the camera!  That is once she got used to me.  Hailey's mom, Jill, had contacted me during my August Special and wanted some updated photos of this darling little girl.  I am so happy that I was able to do that for her and I sure hope I will get to see Miss Hailey again!
We shot these photos at Hailey's grandma's house.  They live on a farm and so there were lots of different places to shoot!

Zaidyn {Newborn}

Little Zaidyn was born on July 3.  Zaidyn also happens to be my niece!  What a little bundle of heaven.  And this curly red hair!  She is so easy to love on and is such a snuggle muffin.  As all newborns do, she slept and slept and only woke up to eat but that's ok.  All snuggle muffins need their beauty sleep!
We shot these photos of Miss Zaidyn right at my house.

Dexter {9 months}

These photos were from my Dexter's 9 month photo shoot.  I had the hubby along to help out since it was hard to get the smiles and giggles going from behind the camera!  Good thing he's a happy baby anyway and loves getting attention from Momma and Dad so he was all for accommodating our wishes.  They grow so fast, it is so important to have these photos take to remember when they were small.  And so you can get wishy washy in a few years when they don't want to give as many hugs or kisses anymore!
We went down to Windmill Park to take these photos.

Josh and Lynsie {Engagement}

Josh and Lynsie are also very close friends of mine.  How lucky am I to have so many friends getting married in the same year!  This was the same situation, I was in their wedding so unable to shoot their wedding but they asked me to shoot their engagement photos.  I happily obliged.

I do believe I met Josh and Lynsie around 730 pm and so we had to run around like crazy to get enough shots before the sun set.  This is where I learned that some of the best light for shooting is when the sun is falling.  Good thing my friends are used to me bossing them around because I really had to get them moving!  We shot in Hudson, WI up at Birkmose Park and down by the river.  It was so much fun having to move so quickly!  I think we got some fantastic shots of these two and I am so blessed to have them as friends.

Phil and Jessie {Engagement}

Jessie is one of my closest friends.  She and Phil have been together a very long time and finally got engaged Halloween of 2010.  Their wedding date was set for September 16, 2011 and while I was in the wedding and was unable to shoot the wedding for them, she let me take their engagement photos.  While Phil was not the most excited about the photos (what guy gets excited about having their photo taken right?) he was a good sport about the whole thing.

We went to Eau Galle to the beach for some different background and we also stopped at the Town Hall.  Nothing fancy but you sometimes get the best images from quick stopping on the side of the road!  I think that even after 7 years together, you can still see the love between these two.  They are just so comfortable together and goofy and very free with their kisses :)

Welcome!

Welcome to Jess Arco Photography!  I am so happy that you have come to take a look and I hope that I will meet you soon!  I have very recently started up this photo business and while I'm surprised at how much work creating a business is, I can't wait to start meeting new people and photographing anything and everything!  My camera is one of my favorite things and with it I feel like I am at my most creative self.  I feel like I learn something new from every photo shoot and I am just so excited to have your help in learning all that I can.  So thank you.  Thank you very much!
